I'm announcing a fun little contest for everyone who would like to participate, called the Book of Deviants Contest.

The Book of Deviants is a wallpaper I designed a little while ago, which consists of a "book" background in the colors of Deviant Art, to which I added cutouts, clips, scribbles, and all sorts of other things in order to give it a real scrap book look. Since I only used items from Deviant Art and other places on the web, and none of my personal artwork, I called it Book of Deviants.

While talking about the worl in a reply to a comment by Gamewiz, I decided this might be a fun contest, as well as a good way to get to know other deviants and see what creative things they come up with within the parameters of the contest. You can still some up with something original using other peoples' deviations and brushes, and it's also a good way of learning new things about your graphics programs.

You don't win anything, it's just for fun. But through all the linking between people, you get more page views and coments, ie. more exposure for the rest of your gallery.

1> Save the blank Book of Deviant graphic, which is at this [link] , and save it to your computer.

2> Decorate it "scrap book" style using images, text, sticky notes, etc. You can use anything on your wallpaper that you like, but everything you use HAS to come from other deviants, either with permission or from the stock gallery, or from other pages on the Internet. You cannot use any of your own deviations.

3> When you're finished with the design, save it and upload it to Deviant Art with "book of deviant" somewhere in the title. In your description you have to include working LINKS to everyone you've taken a piece for your scrapbook from - deviants, websites, etc. and also link to this journal entry so that more people can read about the contest.

4> Once it's uploaded, note me so that I can see your work and add your link here - [link]
